This place should be called “Dive Less” or “Dive for More ($)”
Before deciding to go ahead with diving with this company, I researched and contacted about a dozen other dive shops. I went with this company despite it being the furthest from our hotel near central Hurghada, primarily because they said they’d go to the Shaab El Erg dive site, which is a site known for a high chance of seeing dolphins.
- They did not go to this dive site
- I messaged them beforehand explicitly asking about price and if the price was all inclusive, which they assured me it was. I explicitly asked if it included national park fees, which they also said it did. I paid the total amount a few days before the dive. When we arrived at the dive shop the day of the dive, they tried to get me and my girlfriend to pay a 20 euro fee each for a “dive check” since our last dive was about 9 months prior despite each of us having prior total experience of 10-20 dives each. This “dive check” fee was for the dive master to watch us 1. clear our mask underwater 2. Take our regulator out and sweep it to put it back in 3. Watch us at neutral buoyancy for a few seconds
- Afterward, they charged us an additional 5 euros each for national park fees which previously was stated as included
- Excluded us from a drift dive (of which we have prior experience with and barely anyone else was excluded). On this dive, they saw dolphins which we missed out on
- They said we would be done diving and back to the shop by 2:30 pm, and instead we got back at 5 pm
- We always rent gear and I have never had a bad tank nor regulator issues, and neither has my girlfriend, but on this dive we both separately had issues
- My girlfriend got a bad regulator - leak, had to go up after diving down to get her regulator replaced
- Dive master didn’t point out much at all during either of the 2 dives
Overall, I would avoid this place and go with another shop that is honest
Mohammed Abdul, Hassan and the crew were amazing. We had an unbelievable trip to see the dolphins with snorkeling stops. Plenty of drinks and cooked food were available on the boat. The atmosphere was great, overall it was an amazing experience. Thank you to all the crew. Much love! 🙏🏼
Very good experience the crew and captain got involved and made our day fun and amazing. The banter was fab. And all staff could not help enough, would highly recommend, memories and experiences that will last a lifetime time .
Good dive center. Top-notch team.
However, if you want to go to the Salem Express or the Thistlegorm, don't choose this club. They rarely go there, even if the website offers it and you've paid for it.
